Solar Hosting manages the host hardware, KVM allocation and network; the customer administers the guest OS, security, applications and independent backups. Occasional paid sysadmin work and unspecified premium managed VPS contracts are separate.; availability sla: The current CGU/SLA promise 99.95% monthly availability measured by network ICMP. A covered outage must exceed five consecutive minutes. Planned maintenance announced seven days ahead, customer-caused incidents, force majeure, large targeted attacks and upstream Tier-1 failures are excluded.; sla credits: Credits are automatic on the next invoice: 5% for 0.05–0.5% monthly downtime, 15% for 0.5–2%, 30% for 2–5%, and 50% above 5%, capped at 100% of the affected service's monthly cost.; billing: Monthly is the default and services can be cancelled for period end.
