- name: Configurable Cloud Server / Cloud VPS; category: configurable_kvm_virtual_private_server; cpu isolation: guaranteed; architecture: x86_64; description: Clouding has one continuously configurable VM family rather than a fixed plan ladder. The public configurator supports Linux or Windows, 2 GiB or 4 GiB of RAM per vCore ratios, 1–192 GiB RAM, 0.5–48 vCores, triple-replicated NVMe starting at 5 GB, one fixed public IPv4 address and 4 TB of monthly internet transfer. Current documentation uses a 1,900 GB server disk as a supported performance example, but the unauthenticated public page does not expose a definitive maximum disk slider value.; published linux component prices: ram: approximately EUR 1.25 per GiB per 730-hour average month; the exact documented hourly RAM rate is EUR 0.00171 per GiB; processor: approximately EUR 2.50 per vCore per 730-hour average month; nvme: approximately EUR 0.10 per GB per 730-hour average month; billing qualification: These are presentation equivalents, not monthly caps. All active resources are billed by elapsed use and a 31-day month costs more than the 730-hour display estimate.; current public examples: name: Minimum Linux example; vcpu: 0.5; memory gib: 1; storage gb: 5; storage type: triple-replicated NVMe; display hourly eur: 0.004; display monthly eur: 3, name: Linux example 2/1/30; vcpu: 1; memory gib: 2; storage gb: 30; storage type: triple-replicated NVMe; display hourly eur: 0.011; display monthly eur: 8, name: Linux example 4/2/60; vcpu: 2; memory gib: 4; storage gb: 60; storage type: triple-replicated NVMe; display hourly eur: 0.022; display monthly eur: 16, name: Maximum-compute public example; vcpu: 48; memory gib: 192; storage gb: 100; storage type: triple-replicated NVMe; display hourly eur: 0.506; display monthly eur: 370; network and storage performance: public network: 500 Mbps constant local and internet access per server; vpc network: 2 Gbps constant per server; storage: 8,000 minimum read and write IOPS at minimum disk size, plus 400 read and write IOPS for each additional 25 GB; approximately 1.5 ms response time; transfer: 4 TB per server per month, then EUR 0.004 per GB or EUR 4 per TB
- Operating systems
- linux and unix images: Alpine Linux latest, AlmaLinux 9 and 10, Arch Linux, CentOS Stream 9 and 10, Debian 12 and 13, Rocky Linux 9 and 10, Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04, 24.04 Desktop and 26.04, FreeBSD 15.0; windows images: Windows Server 2003 R2 Datacenter and 2008 R2 Datacenter by support request only, Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter by support request only, Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2025 Datacenter, Windows 11 in Spanish or English, based on Windows Server 2025; licensing: The Windows Cloud Server price includes the operating-system licence. Separate Microsoft SPLA RDS and SQL Server licences are available at published add-on prices.; limitations: no current public custom ISO upload or arbitrary image-import workflow was found, the public image list can change and older Windows versions require a support request
- Virtualization
- hypervisor: KVM with VirtIO devices; platform orchestration: OpenStack; guest control: full root access on Linux and Administrator access on Windows, password or customer-managed SSH key access, browser-based VNC emergency console, control-panel and REST API lifecycle operations; nested virtualization: Intel VT-x or AMD-V nested virtualization is enabled without an extra fee; nested Hyper-V is explicitly unavailable at the documented snapshot.; isolation note: Each KVM guest has its own BIOS, kernel and isolated memory space. This does not establish a dedicated physical CPU core.
- CPU isolation
- classification: guaranteed; basis: Clouding states that ordered RAM is physical RAM reserved for the VM and publishes a constant expected CPU benchmark range for every vCore, but does not claim that a vCore maps to an exclusive physical core. The directory therefore uses guaranteed rather than dedicated or merely shared.; published cpu expectation per vcore: PassMark index continuously between 2,000 and 2,200, UnixBench between 2,222 and 2,225, approximately 120% of one Intel Xeon E5-2683 v4 core or 90% of one Intel Xeon Gold 6148 core
Features
- App installation provider preinstalled apps: Docker, Magento, PrestaShop, WordPress, Ghost, Odoo, pfSense, WireGuard, LAMP, LEMP; provider preinstalled control panels: CloudPanel, CyberPanel, Plesk Obsidian, HestiaCP, cPanel, Pterodactyl, ispmanager; method: Choose a current Clouding image when creating the VM; customers can also install arbitrary compatible software themselves with full guest access.✓
- Templates & images capabilities: provider-maintained operating-system, application and control-panel images, manual point-in-time snapshots that can restore, clone or create a new server, scheduled full-disk backups with 2–30 retained copies and intervals from daily to weekly, server creation from a provider image, snapshot or backup; pricing: snapshots: EUR 0.02 per GB per approximate month, or EUR 0.0000274 per GB-hour; backups: disk size multiplied by retained-copy count multiplied by EUR 0.02 per approximate month; frequency does not change the price; storage separation: Backups are kept in an independent triple-replicated object-storage system; snapshots remain on the primary storage cluster.; limitations: No current public custom ISO or arbitrary image-import feature was verified.✓
- Network orchestration interfaces: web control panel, REST API; capabilities: create, resize, archive, unarchive and delete servers, activate and manage backups and snapshots, create isolated VPCs, attach multiple VPC ports and apply firewall profiles per port, one fixed public IPv4 port per server, password and SSH-key management plus VNC emergency console, server cloning and reinstalls; vpc price: Each VPC is hourly with a maximum charge of EUR 1 per month, independent of the number of attached servers.; resource change limits: RAM and vCores can increase or decrease; disk can only increase. Powered-off servers retain and bill CPU and RAM, while archiving detaches them and continues only disk-related charges.; ipv6: Native IPv6 is explicitly not yet implemented; Clouding documents third-party tunnel workarounds instead.✓
- Firewall platform firewall: Included stateful platform firewall, independent of the guest, managed through reusable profiles in the control panel or API.; rules: Inbound TCP, UDP, ICMP, GRE, L2TP, AH and other protocol rules can restrict source IP or CIDR and port ranges; multiple profiles can be attached to a port.; limitations: The standard platform firewall controls inbound traffic. Guest-level software is needed for outbound filtering.; additional protection: Baseline anti-DDoS is advertised and an optional Strict Anti-DDoS / edge-filtering workflow is documented for frequently attacked servers.✓
- Load balancer—
- DNS management authoritative dns: Customer domains can use ns1.clouding.io and ns2.clouding.io and manage their DNS zones and records from the Clouding control panel.; reverse dns: PTR records for server public IPs can be edited in the portal whether the forward zone uses Clouding or external name servers.; domain registration: No bundled registrar claim is made; customers point a domain registered elsewhere to the Clouding name servers.✓
- Git integrations—
- Container registry—
Support
base support: Clouding is a self-managed service. Its in-house team answers questions and helps customers diagnose infrastructure and installed-software problems 24/7 at no additional charge, but customers administer the guest and perform the changes themselves.; hands on support: name: Cloud Pros; scope: engineer login to the server, application installation and configuration, optimization, security work, complex solution design and deployment; business hours price: EUR 24 per 30 minutes, Monday–Friday 09:00–19:00; out of hours price: EUR 96 per hour; sla: 99.95% monthly connectivity availability. Approved credits range from 10% to 100% according to measured availability; only connectivity is covered, incident time begins with the customer's ticket, and a written claim is due within 72 hours after closure.; billing and payment: Prepaid balance with manual or automatic refill. Credit/debit card and PayPal are immediate; bank receipt/SEPA can take up to 72 hours and requires activation. Prices exclude taxes.
address: soporte@clouding.io (support@clouding.io is also used in current English documentation); availability: 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
number: +34 93 280 12 06; hours: Monday–Friday 09:00–14:00 and 16:00–19:00 Europe/Madrid time
access: authenticated customer support request/ticket workflow and public contact form; availability: support questions are answered 24/7; no public first-response-time target was found; sla role: A connectivity incident is measured only from the customer's ticket opening until Clouding verifies restoration.
What customers say
- + Recent reviews repeatedly praise fast, personal support, reliable infrastructure, straightforward server management and the flexibility of pay-per-use billing.
- + Customers also mention reasonable value despite acknowledging that cheaper competitors exist, and several describe multi-year relationships or stable service during major power disruption.
- − The current distribution includes 4% one-star reviews. A July 2026 reviewer objected to being moved from free guidance to the EUR 24 hands-on support charge after following initial advice, illustrating the boundary between advisory support and Cloud Pros work.
- − A recent otherwise-positive review noted incomplete English translation in parts of the help content, and another positive review described Clouding as somewhat more expensive than alternatives.
- − Trustpilot says the company has not recently invited reviews. The score is brand-wide rather than a controlled VPS-only satisfaction sample, and no second review platform with a reliable current Clouding.io rating and count was found.
